Bookmarks

The internet is such an amazing tool!  I keep thinking to myself, "self, what can I do to better use the internet and expand my students understanding of concepts and the world?"  Ok, maybe not sooooo formally.

There are a few absolutely, can't-live-without websites for organizing bookmarks.  My top two:

1.  PINTEREST!  I honestly don't know how I ever lived without it... (but I'm pretty sure I had more time for mundane tasks like cleaning)

On pinterest, I have pinned all kinds of fun ideas for using in the classroom.  The absolute BEST part - I no longer actually have to make the requisite sample teacher art piece.  I can now show the kids other kids' art and let them see lots of great examples created by people their own size!  The effect?  Now my pumpkins do their own best, without trying to make their work a carbon copy of my sample.  YAY!  I am a super-lucky teacher because the classrooms at my school have SmartBoards.    Which means I can pull up that link super-duper fastlike and show these kidlets a project, have them off and running with the directions right there.  love!

2.  ikeepbookmarks.com
Have you heard of it?  No?  It's great.  I can organize links to different games or sites that are 'teacher-approved' for research, practicing skills, learning, and more.  Wanna see my page?  Check it out here

Seriously.  What are you still doing here?  Go, check out pinterest and Ikeepbookmarks.  They'll change your life (or at least help make larger piles of laundry in your house)
